2015: July Update: #BookBlog #SecretGarden

Wishing all Americans a Happy July 4th celebration!

Have you ever wondered what your site would look like on other devices?

If so, check out this helpful post from Kimberly @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer: What Does My Blog Look Like To Visitors?

Is your blog mobile friendly?

Secret GardenMy Mailbox Monday: June 22, 2105 post was popular in June.  It featured the adult coloring book:

Secret Garden: An Inky Treasure Hunt and Coloring Book by JohannaBasford

Laurence King Publishing Ltd, 2013

Reprinted 2013 (five times), 2014 (six times), 2015 (four times)

Last check, it was sold out again on amazon.

I received my Staedtler colored pencils and sharpeners from amazon.  The unique standup case that the pencils are stored in is great (click on images to read more or purchase).

I thought I would share just one image of a project.  For my first project, I started with the heart at the back of the book.

SheReads will not be featuring seasonal book club selections for the summer, but will pick up again later with fall selections.  They are having a summer reading series featured on their blog.

I  received two books for review (see Mailbox Monday: June 15, 2015) in June.  I plan to post reviews for them in July.  What are your reading plans for the summer?

Books Reviewed in June

The Precious One by Marisa de los Santos (5 Stars: Loved it!)

Defending Jacob by William Landay (5 Stars: Loved it!)

As always, thanks for stopping by!

Enjoy your summer!

  1. Thanks for sharing your finished picture – gorgeous. I saw this book in our shops and had a wee peek at it. I would get it but not sure I would have the time just at the moment. I have started to solve Sudoko which is great for stress release! Still I might get it!

  2. You know, I check my blog out on my iPhone and it looks terrible, as far as the placement of the pictures and the text. I’ll have to check out the post you listed above. Thanks!
I hope you have a wonderful July!!

  3. Thanks for sharing Kimberly’s post. Very nifty tool to use! I checked out my site, and I think it looks okay on mobile devises.

I love your first coloring project! So pretty!

  4. We have that Secret Garden book! I bought it for my daughter, but I’m hoping to do a page or two myself. Thanks for the link to the “What Does My Blog Look Like to Visitors?” post… busy prepping for 4th of July party now, but I’ll bookmark it to check out later. Have a great weekend, Pat!
