2015: August Update: #BestBooks #Luck #Gravatar

I hope you had a good month in July.

July was a lucky month for me.  I received two prizes in the mail:

Mailbox Monday: July 13, 2015: The Antigone Poems by by Marie Slaight, from a contest on  Suko’s Notebook.

Mailbox Monday: July 20, 2015: Summer Secrets: A Novel by Jane Green, a beach/book bag and other gifts from a contest on Leslie’s blog: Under My Apple Tree.

What is a Gravatar?

An “avatar” is an image that represents you online—a little picture that appears next to your name when you interact with websites.

A Gravatar is a Globally Recognized Avatar. You upload it and create your profile just once, and then when you participate in any Gravatar-enabled site, your Gravatar image will automatically follow you there.

Gravatar is a free service for site owners, developers, and users. It is automatically included in every WordPress.com account and is run and supported by Automattic.

  1. Ugh – I need to set up my Gravatar…believe it or not I STILL haven’t done this! And – YES to My Sunshine Away!! The Nightingale is also on my “must try before the end of the year” list.

  2. I’m in the middle of Mary Alice Monroe’s Lowcountry Trilogy – I just finished listening to the 2nd and need to get the 3rd. I’m really enjoying the series and they’ve been great on audio! I”m also going to the listen to The Nightingale on audio – it’s on my list. And I also have A Week at the Lake on my shelf just waiting to be read…so many books, so little time!!!

  3. Yup, I have a gravatar! I’ve read a lot of these, love Liane Moriarty. How fun to get prizes, I look forward to them more than an ARC. I’m waiting on a prize right now, actually.
    Thanks for visiting today.

  4. I want to get started on the Mary Alice Monroe trilogy…I have the first book.

I also loved A Week at the Lake and Big Little Lies…both were 5 star reads for me.

I do have a Gravatar…it is a photo of the books I’ve published.

    Enjoy August!

  5. I have a gravatar too, and use it where I need to. The Precious One is a book I want to read, probably won’t get to it for awhile. I think it is on Audible so might listen to it. Nice wins this month!

  6. Congratulations on winning those books, and thank you very much for the mention. 🙂

I don’t have a Gravatar. I’m wondering how it would do with Blogger. Have a great week ahead, Pat!
